ISL: PMD 110: Lab Micro-Distillation

Developed in partnership with leading university researchers, the ISL PMD 110 is the state-of-art lab solution for fast and reliable response distillation analysis according to ASTM D7345 standard test method. Based on an innovative micro-distillation method, the PMD 110 determines in less than 10min, using only 10ml of sample, the boiling range of various petroleum products, light/middle distillates in perfect correlation with ASTM D86 (groups 0-4) and biodiesels B100 in perfect correlation to ASTM D1160.

Fast analysis at a push-button operation
PMD 110’s straight forward operation simply involves filling a flask with 10ml of test specimen, placing it on the instrument and pressing the ‘Start’ key. Test immediately starts without any concern over flask and measurement device adjustments. Thanks to an intelligent heating mode, no special programming of test conditions, heater power settings or prior distillation test knowledge is required. PMD 110 automatically recognizes sample type and applies appropriate heating method and data treatment. Results are reported in less than 10 minutes. Post-test cleaning is minimal.

Unmatched versatility – New functionality for biofuels application (ASTM D1160)
Distillation of FAME products can now be run under atmospheric pressure!! Not only is it offering an excellent alternative to standard D1160 test methods with significant cost reduction (both in terms of operation and maintenance), but biodiesel distillation analysis would have never been so fast and easy for the operators: simply select the “B100” sample type in the PMD 110 menu and push “start” button.
