ISL: VH1 & VH2: Houillon Viscometers / Thiết bị đo độ nhớt động học

Determination of kinematic viscosity of transparent and opaque liquids (fresh and used lubricating oils) by Houillon viscometer refers to the capillary tube used to measure viscosity in VH system. The method was initially developed for use in lubricant blending facilities, research laboratories and used oils follow up measurement.
The ISL VH1/2 viscometers determines automatically the kinematic viscosity of lubricating oils, used oils, fuels, polymers and similar materials within a viscosity range of 2 to 2000 mm 2 /s (at 40°C), in full compliance with ASTM D7279.

Excellent throughput
Less than 1 ml of sample is required with an average run time of 60 second.

Smart, versatile and user-friendly operation
The operator's routine manipulation enters a sample number through the keyboard. The system then prompts the operator to select either basic viscosity measurement, averaged viscosity measurement and/or a Viscosity Index. Less than 1 milliliter of sample is dispensed into the tube and the test is started. At this point, the microprocessor automatically monitors and controls the test measurement. Optical
infrared sensors time the sample as it passes through the tube. Each tube is fitted with the automatic cleaning system. Results are displayed on the monitor and stored into PC database. They can be printed out and sent to the LIMS at the same time or later on.

Efficient Cleaning Procedure
Once the measurement is complete, the cycles of solvent flushing and purging followed with a drying cycle are automatically handled. Cleaning options can be enhanced with the VH 2 configuration, with the capability of two solvents: The first solvent flushes the sample out whereas the second solvent is used to the tube drying. In addition, all parts of the VH2 system in contact with sample or solvents are made of glass, stainless steel and brass, Teflon or Kalrez and therefore can withstand any aggressive solvents. Minimum solvent usage (10 ml in average per cleaning cycle)

Powerful PC-based data management
The custom windows-based microcomputer enables to run and monitor up to 16 capillary tubes simultaneously (multiple baths, up to 4). It also centralizes the results under instant and comprehensive evaluation reports. With 40°C and 100°C bath temperatures programmed, the software computes and calculates the viscosity index within minutes. Dynamic viscosity information is also available if specific gravity is provided. Calibrations parameters for multiple bath temperatures settings can be saved, making the bath immediately ready for use when the temperature changes, therefore eliminating the need for instrument recalibration.
