OptiFPP: Cold Filter Plugging Point / Thiết bị đo nhiệt độ giới hạn lọc tự động
The Cold Filter Plugging Point (CFPP) method determines empirically the low
temperature operability of diesel fuels
The OptiFPP automatically determines the Cold Filter Plugging Point (low
temperature operability) of diesel fuels.
Cloud Point can also be measured using optional OptiCPP cloud point head.
Fully Automated and Stand Alone Operation
The operator fills the test tube with 45 ml of the specimen, inserts the filtration
assembly in the test tube and locks it on the tube. The assembly is then inserted into
the jacket and the test is started. The instrument performs the test by controlling
the cooling of the jacket, adjusting electronically the vacuum at intervals of 1°C,
and 200 mmH2O ± 1 mmH2O(or 2.0 kPa ± 0.05 kPa) to aspirate the test specimen
into a 20 ml pipette according the test method conditions. As the fuel specimen
cools, the amount of paraffin crystals increases. The temperature at which either
the fuel specimen ceases to flow through the filter within 60 seconds or fails to
return into the test jar is the Cold Filter Plugging Point. CFPP value is displayed and
memorized in non-volatile memory whereas sample is re-heated to ambient. The
optical barriers detect the test specimen flow without any contact with the pipette.
This prevents thermal insulation of the pipette as it is with the manual method.
Aspiration and flow back times limits are adjustable. Each aspiration and flow back
times are recorded and memorized in the non-volatile memory.
